The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley, originally called the Mexican American Chamber of Commerce, was founded in 1955 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1973.

The Hispanic Chamber founders sought to maximize Hispanic business and economic development to increase better understanding between Hispanic businesses, corporate America and the community at large.

Desde 2011, la Cámara de Comercio Hispana ha operado con éxito una sede satélite hispana del SBDC, la cual ayuda a nuevos emprendedores a hacer realidad su sueño de ser dueños de un negocio y asiste a los propietarios de empresas existentes para que accedan a información, recursos y redes de contacto que les permitan hacer crecer sus negocios y generar un impacto económico positivo a largo plazo en el condado de Santa Clara.

The free services of the SBDC Hispanic Satellite include: one-on-one business advising, business licensing and formation assistance, guidance to become "bankable" and "fundable," business education and workshops, business plan assistance and sales and marketing advice.

The free services are offered to all communities in both English and Spanish through certified business advisors. The SBDC Hispanic Satellite is funded in part by SBA, Citi Foundation and the County of Santa Clara. As of July 2013, it also assumed responsibility for operating the" Silicon Valley SBDC, as well as the Hispanic Satellite.
